My Background

Hi! I'm Sara Becker, DPT (doctorate of physical therapy)

I pride myself on the nontraditional approach to healthcare as

I believe the body and brain are capable of so much more healing than traditional medicine has given it credit for.

My journey into the world of physical therapy began with a deep fascination for the brain and nervous system—the way these intricate networks quietly orchestrate everything we do without our conscious awareness. It was always second nature to me, this understanding of how our bodies move, heal, and adapt. The nervous system just made sense.

Throughout my career, I dedicated myself to neurorehabilitation. I spent countless hours helping patients recover from life-altering events like strokes, traumatic brain injuries (concussions), and spinal cord injuries. I worked closely with individuals living with movement disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological conditions. These experiences were as challenging as they were rewarding, and they fueled my determination to help people regain not just their movement, but their independence, confidence, and quality of life.

Over time, I began to see a critical connection: true healing wasn’t just about addressing muscles and joints—it was about working with the nervous system itself. Pain, stress, and dysfunction often have deeper roots in how the brain and body communicate. I realized that by targeting pain at its neurological source, I could help people experience deeper, lasting relief.

This revelation led me to immerse myself in perfecting hands-on techniques like neurokinetic therapy (NKT), vagus nerve regulation, dry needling, and myofascial release. I crafted a practice centered on holistic, root-cause healing that not only reduces pain and dysfunction but helps my clients feel more at ease in their bodies.

Today, my work is about more than rehabilitation. It’s about empowerment. Every day, I’m honored to help people take control of their healing journeys, release pain and stress, and reconnect with the incredible resilience of their bodies and nervous systems.

With over a decade of experience as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I’ve honed my skills in a variety of advanced, hands-on techniques that target pain, stress, and dysfunction at their root. My approach combines evidence-based methods with innovative therapies designed to work with the nervous system, not just the surface symptoms. My techniques include:

  • Dry Needling – A highly effective technique that targets trigger points and deep muscle tension to reduce pain, improve mobility, and enhance healing.

  • Myofascial Release – By working with the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, I help release restrictions that contribute to chronic pain and tension.

  • Cupping – This ancient technique uses gentle suction to promote circulation, reduce inflammation, and support lymphatic drainage.

  • Joint Manipulations (Gentle Cracking) – A gentle, hands-on approach to joint adjustments that restores mobility and relieves stiffness without forceful techniques.

  • Mobilizations – Targeted movements to help bones and joints move more freely, relieving restrictions and improving functional movement.

  • Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) – Using principles of applied kinesiology, I identify and correct muscle compensation patterns that may be contributing to pain and dysfunction. This method is invaluable in pinpointing the exact source of compensation in your body.

  • Emotional Release - finding the spot in your body that is holding onto past traumas and emotions

  • Scar Release Therapy – Scars can restrict movement and contribute to chronic pain. My scar release techniques help reduce adhesions and improve tissue mobility.

  • Dolphin Neurostim – A microcurrent DC device that stimulates acupressure points and breaks down scar tissue, providing relief and improved function for stubborn injuries and old scars.

  • Vagus Nerve and Nervous System Regulation – By targeting the vagus nerve and stress response systems, I help clients reduce inflammation, calm the body’s fight-or-flight triggers, and promote a sense of safety and healing.

  • Nervous System Fitness Coaching – Building a resilient nervous system is key to recovery and long-term health. I coach clients on how to train their nervous system for improved adaptability, stress tolerance, and overall well-being.

These techniques allow me to treat a wide range of conditions—including those once thought untreatable. I work with clients facing chronic pain, movement disorders, neurological conditions, and autoimmune or inflammatory issues, helping them experience breakthroughs beyond what I was taught to expect in my doctoral program.

My mission is simple: to help you feel your best by unlocking the full potential of your body’s nervous system, empowering you to heal, move, and live with ease.
